Climate-smart food storage; childishly simple

Climate-smart food wraps are beeswax-impregnated cotton cloths that are used to store food and keep it fresh for a long time. Because they are plastic-free, reusable and recyclable, they are the green alternative to plastic foils and aluminum foils.

How to use

Dooek can be used in many different ways. Cover a bowl, store vegetables, fruits, cheese or sandwiches with the right size wrap or put your lunch or snack in a bag. Everything you would normally use plastic or aluminum foil for can now be replaced with Dooek. After usage, wash the wrap easily by hand under cold water with a drop of mild dish soap if necessary. Let it dry and use it again and again.

Cotton

The food wraps are 100% cotton and are made in an eco-friendly way. They come in lots of different designs.

Wax

European and certified beeswax is the basis of all our food wraps. Both bees and vegan wax keep food longer fresh.

Oil

The use of coconut oil in our vegan food wraps gives the wraps flexibility, which makes it easy to shape by hand.

Pine resin

The function of pine resin is to make the fabric attach well. The naturally sticky mass is also antibacterial and water resistant.

Keep your food and your Dooek

You can simply clean the wrap with cold or lukewarm tap water and possibly a drop of mild dish soap. Do not use hot water, otherwise you will destroy the wax. Let the wrap dry for a few minutes, fold it up and put it away or better yet, use Dooek again.

Wrap it

Cover a bowl with Dooek or put your vegetables, fruit, cheese or sandwich in your food wrap or bag. Seals easily with only the warmth of your hands.

Clean it

Wash by hand under cold or lukewarm water with a drop of mild dish soap if necessary. Don't squeeze the wrap, just shake it off.

Reuse it

Allow Dooek to dry for a few minutes, put it away or even better, use dooek again. Repeat this over and over again.

Frequently Asked Questions

Here you will find the most frequently asked questions. If you have a question that has not yet been asked, please do not hesitate to contact us. We will answer your question within 24 hours.

What material is Dooek made of?
All our products are made from ecological ingredients, 100% cotton, beeswax or vegetable wax, coconut oil and tree resin. The wax has antibacterial functions, the oil makes it soft and moldable and the tree resin provides stickiness so that the wrap stays in place.
How does Dooek support circularity ?
For the wraps, we mainly use residues from the textile industry. Leftover fabrics from clothing collections now get a new life as a wrap or bag. That is the reason why our collections are so unique and designs differ regularly.
How do you use Dooek best?
Take the correct size wrap and cover a bowl / plate with it or put your vegetables, fruit, cheese, sandwich in it and seal it by kneading it together with the warmth of your hands. Ready to put in the fridge, freezer or your bag. Do not use with raw meat and fish. Keep away from heat (oven, microwave).
How can you reuse Dooek?
You can simply clean the wrap with cold or lukewarm tap water and possibly a drop of mild dish soap. Do not use hot water or microwave / oven as this will melt the wax. Let the wrap dry for a while, fold it up and put it away or even better, use Dooek again.
How long will Dooek last approximately?
A wrap lasts for about a year, provided it is used and cared for correctly. If the wrap has lost its stickiness, you can throw it in the compost bin or refill it with new wax.
